Datrys in the community

Re-Boot is a community based initiative that Datrys came up with during Covid when lots of the kids were suddenly learning at home and many did not have a device of their own.

Pete and Steve asked their customers to donate any old, working laptops which they no longer needed. They then cleaned them up and installed ChromeOS operating system which worked beautifully with Google Classroom.

This amazing community incentive is ongoing. If you would like to get involved and have a laptop (with a working power supply) which is less than 6 years old, we would love to hear from you.

Please note a few caveats
* The laptops are donated to us for recycling and will be given away free of charge to a child that needs it. We cannot recover data or the like in the process.
* Any child is entitled to a free laptop when we give them out but we’d like to know a little bit about the requirement so we can allocate appropriately (a primary school student won’t need as powerful a laptop as an HSC student).
